This course was real value to me,
the activities set up my basis for
my celebrant’s practice. I will use
the information Eg. How to set up
interviews, order of wedding
ceremony, ethics etc. as a great
reference for the future. I’ve kept
these activities in a folder, as
they given me a strong direction and
of what is expected of a celebrant.
As I progressed through the
activities all the pieces of the
course just came together
seamlessly. The Trainer’s were very
helpful and didn’t put you down if
you couldn’t understand, just gently
gave guidance. It is a wonderful
option for people who live in the
country and do not have access to
the same services as the city. Thank

I reflect on my history and see
there was a time where there was no
insight to my place in the world. My
education was minimal, I felt I
would always be left behind. When I
resonated with being a marriage
celebrant, the Academy of Celebrancy Australia®
fell into my path and created my

Celebrancy Course and I would like

which you have managed both the
learning and assessment for the
course. It was always very easy to
contact someone for support, either

prompt and helpful and I would like

very glad that I chose the Academy
over some of the other providers, as
I doubt that I would have found
assistance as accessible and as
frequently in the TAFE sector as I

I must say when I first received the
course in the mail I looked at it
and thought there is no way I can do
this without face to face contact
with a teacher. I then proceeded to
start and from then on everything
just flowed nicely and it all came
together for me. I would highly
recommend the course by distant to
anyone that wishes to become a
marriage celebrant. My trainer was so lovely when I spoke to her on
the phone she put me right at ease.

When I noticed the course was being
held for face to face close by to
where I live, I decided to enrol.
That was the best decision I could
make. The other students were great
people with varied skills and
experiences and for all of us to be
able to share, made all the
difference with learning. Our
facilitator, Jill Heaton was
wonderful as a young and fresh
educator who made us all feel
welcome and when it was over we all
came away feeling like we had been
friends for much longer than the two
weekends that we shared together. I
would like to thank Jill for her
inspiring and enthusiastic
encouragement. It certainly makes a
difference to have personal contact
with your trainer and to be able to
ask questions on the spot. Thanks to
my trainer who has picked me up after the
face to face weekends and has been
there for my responses to finish
off.

I enjoyed everything involved with
this course. It was good that there
was no deadline for each task as
combining it with working full time
meant I usually set aside 1 day a
month and went though quite a few
exercises at once. Overall I think
the course is good value for money
and well worth completing. I am
looking forward to applying to the
AG’s office and furthering my
studies through your company.

My trainer was so friendly and
accommodating, she was understanding
and easy to communicate with. The
course was put together so well. If
I could do it, anyone could. But the
thing I liked the most was that I
was able to complete the course on
my own time. And at no time did I
feel like I couldn’t manage, or that
I couldn’t get help. Because if you
have any questions you just call or
email and the trainers and they get
straight back to you.

The number and manner of activities
to complete seemed daunting at

The course was clear and very
cleverly designed! It built up my
knowledge step by step. When I
completed an activity it would often
raise another question, and I found
that my question would be answered
when I got to the next activity.
When there were large activities
relating to laws for example, the
next activities focused on something
different which was nice to have a
different focus so that I didn’t
feel overwhelmed. The lateral
thinking component was great – it
has given me confidence to deal with
a variety of situations that may
arrive when hosting a ceremony.
Overall the course has instilled a
confidence in myself and my
abilities to be a successful
celebrant.
